Anime fighting game Phantom Breaker: Extra is getting an update, changing its name to Phantom Breaker: Omnia. Alongside the update, Phantom Breaker is also going to see a release outside of Japan.
Phantom Breaker: Omnia will have 20 characters in its roster, including guest characters from other franchises, like Makise Kurisu from Steins;Gate. The Omnia update will introduce two new characters to the fighter.
The premise behind Phantom Breaker revolves around the mysterious Phantom granting Fu-mension Artifacts to fighters, who then duke it out with each other. The winner of all the fights will ultimately be granted a wish. The down side is that use of Fu-mension Artifacts might wipe out reality.
Phantom Breaker: Omnia’s western release is set to be some time in 2021. It will be making its way to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
